Die Firma Fortwengel hat den Baum daraufhin umfassend untersucht. Mithilfe einer Schalltomographie wurde festgestellt, dass der Baum sowohl im Stamm als auch in den \u00c4sten an entscheidenden Stellen stark ausgeh\u00f6hlt ist. Die Standsicherheit war somit nicht mehr gegeben. Durch das Herausbrechen des gro\u00dfen Astes ist die Statik des gesamten Baumes zus\u00e4tzlich erheblich beeintr\u00e4chtigt worden. Nach fachlicher Einsch\u00e4tzung war davon auszugehen, dass der Baum bei einem weiteren st\u00e4rkeren Sturm umst\u00fcrzt oder gr\u00f6\u00dfere Kronenteile abbrechen.
