Es hei\u00dft &#8222;Europ\u00e4ische Geschichte in lokalem Niederschlag: Migration im 20. Jahrhundert am Beispiel der Gemeinde S\u00f6gel&#8220;. Die Forschung hierzu wird durchgef\u00fchrt von der Abteilung f\u00fcr Kulturgeschichte und vergleichende Landeskunde der Uni. Vechta unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Kotte. Von ihm wurden und werden zusammen mit Universit\u00e4tsmitarbeitern und Studenten\/innen unter ma\u00dfgeblicher Unterst\u00fctzung durch das Forum &#8211; insbesondere Bernd Schulte und Heribert Tolkmitt &#8211; sowie des Heimatforschers Heinz Schmees wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zur genannten Thematik erarbeitet.<\/p>\n<p>Am 23. 4. 2010 war es dann so weit, dass erste umfangreiche Zwischenergebnisse &#8211; \u00fcber 120 Seiten &#8211; dem Vorsitzenden des Forum, Bernd Schulte, im gro\u00dfen Saal des Rathauses S\u00f6gel nach einer anschaulichen Darstellung \u00fcbergeben werden konnten. Nicht nur Bernd Schulte und die 40 bis 50 Zuh\u00f6rer waren begeistert, sondern auch der Samtgemeindeb\u00fcrgermeister G\u00fcnter Wigbers sowie S\u00f6gels B\u00fcrgermeister Heiner Wellenbrock.
